We had a great time this weekend and today I want to show you my 2020 Spring Mini Open House projects everyone made! This is always such a fun event that’s absolutely free! There’s stamping, games, prizes, new classes and yummy treats.

What’s not to love about that?

We played with a few of the new stamps, papers, embossing folder and dies from the January through June Spring Mini from Stampin’ Up! It’s jam packed with lovely things to get you in the spring frame of mind.

Let’s see what we made.

Sending Your Thoughts with a Simple Painted Poppies Card

Simple and Quick Spring Mini Open House Projects

Of course we had to play with the Painted Poppies stamps and Painted labels dies. They are pretty much MUST HAVES in any paper crafting room. This time though, I changed up the colours to soft Purple Posy for a totally different feel. The flower is coloured with Stampin’ Blends (and the soft green is Soft Seafoam).

Let’s take a closer look.

I LOVE These Spring Mini Open House Projects

We used a Stamparatus for perfect placement on both the poppy on the tag and the sentiment. The finishing touch is the little pearl coloured with the Dark Purple Posy Stampin’ Blend.

Celebrate with Pretty Parisian Blossoms

I also wanted to show the versatility of the fabulous Heart Punch Pack. Rather than being limited to only Valentine’s, see how pretty it is here when punching out the centre in the Parisianne Flourish 3D embossing folder.

I have to say I haven’t used Petal Pink all that often, and certainly not with Pool party! But it really is gorgeous in this card with the little strip of champagne-edged ribbon and one little champagne rhinestone to dress it up.

Look how the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper shines in this close-up.

And the celebrate is from the free Sale-a-bration set Happy Birthday to You.

Adorable Little Ladybug 2020 Calendar

Just in case you thought I was only thinking about pretty and soft ideas, here’s an utterly cute calendar everyone made with that super fun Little Ladybug stamp set.

The Golden Honey specialty DSP (also a free Sale-a-bration item 😉) is the perfect backing for this Poppy Parade calendar. This guy goes together in a flash with your Simply Scored tool and some Liquid Glue or Tear ‘n Tape. Here are the measurements to make your own:

  • Poppy Parade – 6″ x 9 1/4″, scored at 3 3/8″, 6 3/4″, 7 3/4′ and 8 3/4″, scraps
  • DSP – 5 1/2″ x 2 7/8″
  • Watercolor paper – scraps
  • Whisper White – scraps

My calendars come from Taylored Expressions if you wanted to make one exactly like this!

We used the Watercolour pencils and an Aqua Painter to give our ladybugs some personality.

How Sweet is this Little Ladybug One of the Spring Mini Open House Projects

Believe it or not, that red colour is the Real Red watercolour pencil. I think it is way closer to the Poppy Parade than to Real Red so coordinated everything to match.

Now It’s Your Turn!

Here are all the supplies we used to make the Little Ladybug calendar. When you host your own event and have party sales over $375, it is yours absolutely free! Another fabulous reason to get together with your friends!

Painted Poppies Spring Mini Open House Projects

I usually ask everyone which is their fave project at the event. But this time I forgot.

So I’d love for you to tell me. Leave a comment on this post and let me know which of these spring mini open house projects is one you think you might make at home!
