Want a pretty gift to make for Christmas? Maybe for a special someone’s stocking? Or a health care worker maybe? What about for the Skip the Dishes driver?
This little box fits the bill nicely.
There are surprisingly few supplies for this box decoration. In fact it uses up some scraps you might have on hand!
A Pretty Gift to Make for Christmas
How to Decorate a Pizza Box
If you’re pressed for time but still want a sturdy box for goodies, that’s when our Mini Pizza Boxes come in handy.
They’re the perfect size at 3 1/2″ square and 1″ deep so all kinds of items will fit inside. Plus they’re food safe so if you do want to add a little handmade treat, you don’t need to worry.
One of the easiest ways I’ve found to fancy up one of the pizza boxes is to wrap it with a belly band…that comes right off!
Here I’ve wrapped a 2 1/2″ x 10″ piece of the Snowflake Splendour DSP around the sides without the “notches”. TIP: Adhere ends together at the top of the box with Seal+ or Tear & Tape for the best hold. BIGGER TIP: Make sure it’s not too snug or it will be hard to get off.
Then I added a layered decorative panel.
My layers are (from the bottom up):
- one piece of 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of silver foil
- a 3 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of Pool Party stamped with Pool Party ink then die cut with the large snowflake TIP: very carefully apply dots of liquid glue all around the cut outs – BUT NOT RIGHT TO THE EDGES – to adhere to the smaller piece of silver foil.
- one stamped and silver embossed simple snowflake
- then three layered die cuts: one in Blamy Blue glimmer paper, a smaller Pool Party one and the last a stamped and die cut tiny one
- everything topped off with a blue adhesive backed gem
The combination of glitz and sparkle is beautiful!
What’s the Gift?
Oh and you probably want to know what’s INSIDE my box!
A set of four thank you cards! Each one has a different piece of the Snowflake Splendour designer series paper, embossed with the Winter Snow embossing folder. Then one die cut snowflake and a circle greeting. And I embossed the flap of the envelope also with the Winter Snow embossing folder.
