They’re retiring a stamp set I hardly used! Yikes! Do you ever say this too? I say that a bit more often than I should 🙄!
What do I mean by that?
You might know I am happy to be a full time blogger and creative coach. I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Canada and this is my full-time career.
So when I purchase stamp sets (and dies, paper and embossing folders…and everything else), I do so because first and foremost, I think they are wonderful. But then I also look at whether I think YOU will enjoy them too.
Then I consider how I can showcase them for you so you see how great they are – and deserve a spot in your stamping stash before they are retired by Stampin’ Up! and no longer available.
And the retiring lists are out…and this stamp set is on it.
Waterfront. Can’t you just picture an idyllic little cabin in the woods with this scene? Makes you wish you were there right? That’s what drew me to this set to begin with.
A Stamp Set I Hardly Used is Retiring!
I’ve found it really easy to build up scenes just like on my card above which was one I created as an alternative for our first Stamping Staycation last June.
But it’s also super for little images like you see on the inside and the sentiments.
This set uses a slightly unique type of two step stamping to build up a picture that looks almost like you got out your camera in the woods!
I think it got hidden in my cupboard because there are so many other wonderful things like dies and embossing folders and patterned paper I had in my stash! I know it got passed over several times in my search for inspiration and it shouldn’t have. I’m sorry about that!
Here’s the one and only other card I shared with you made with this set. A much simpler card but also perfect for a fella.
So Why Am I Telling You This?
A few reasons.
a. So you know I’m just like you! You are not alone! I have stamps, and ink, and paper, and ribbon and embellishments I purchase that will sometimes just sit on the shelf.
b. Because I think I should have shown it in a few more times so you can see how it could add something different to your own stash of stamp supplies.
c. So you can check out the retiring lists one more time before they disappear to see if there is anything that could add some versatility to your handmade creations. And there are already items out of stock. So don’t delay taking a peek.Supplies I Used
It Happens to the Best of Us!
Sometimes I get a bit over enthusiastic when I’m ordering! (I know, I know, I’m not alone!) And when that happens, I can end up with stamps sets that hardly get put to an ink pad…and some that NEVER do.
This beautiful Waterfront is one of those sets.
I’d hate for you to miss out on it because I didn’t do my job as well as I should have!
Be sure to scour those Retiring Lists to be sure you’re not missing out on something you’re might regret not picking up.
I’ll keep showing you the things I absolutely love in our catalogues. Ones I think you’ll love too.
And I’m going to try my best to not have too many more items like a stamp set I hardly used like this Waterfront one – wish me luck!
