Want a fun and cheerful birthday card idea? This one is sure to put a smile on anyone’s mug!
Cute. Bright. Cheery!
It took me awhile to get around to using the gold hoops (pun intended 🤪!), but now I have, I love how they add something unexpected to my cards! I’m just so sad they are retiring!
Here I’ve used one to make a perfect “wreath” for our one bright berry to perch on.
Cheerful Birthday Card
Two-Step Stamping at its Best
In addition to the gleaming circle, all it takes is one bright berry to make a lovely focal point for this card.
You can create the berry in just a few simple steps. Don’t worry, none of them takes very long!
I first stamped the outline of the better with Poppy Parade ink, which is the perfect strawberry colour. Then I stamped the inside also with Poppy Parade, but I stamped off onto scrap paper once first.
This is just one of the techniques you can learn about in my Simply Stunning SIP Stamping Online Class.
To balance the berry, a bit of our wispy Polka Dot tulle ribbon and some gold trim completes the left of the hoop.
How to Glue a Hoop Down?
If you’re wondering about how to make your hoop stick in place, here’s a tip! Your Tombow Multipurpose liquid glue is your best friend! It is indeed strong enough to hold this hoop in place on your cardstock!
And to get the cardstock to adhere to the hoop? I used mini glue dots and it was quick and easy!
Now It’s Your Turn!
If you think these hoops could add some pizzazz to your card making, you’ll want to get them soon. They will be retiring and no longer available as of May 3, 2021! You can get yours with a simple click on the picture below.Let’s Make It!
