Hey paper crafter, take a look at some cheerful card making with Hello Ladybug by my friend and fellow crafter Bev! In this episode of Behind the Paper, An Interview with a Paper Crafter, we get to know Bev just a tiny bit and see her cute ladybug cards!
When I was discussing with Bev which bundle she would like to focus on, I was excited to know she had purchased the Hello Ladybug bundle! I knew in a second that’s the one I would love to see!
She was really happy to share these designs with all of us! (Don’t miss seeing the inside of this card down below!)

Great patterned papers. Nice bright designs. Fun elements!
These were the words that came to mind when I saw Bev’s cards. Here’s what she thought about my questions.
An Interview with a Paper Crafter
Why did you start paper crafting?
My friend got me making Christmas cards and it exploded from there!
What “hooked” you about making your own handcrafted cards and items?
The joy people get when they get a handmade card. And to help raise money for PED (

What are your favourite tools to craft with?
My paper trimmer, Big Shot and embossing folders.
What was your most recent favourite design you made? Why did you like it?
It was a fun fold using beauty of the Earth DSP. I like the outdoors and flowers!

How many cards do you send out in a week/month/year?
Approximately 200 per year including the ones I make for PED.
Give yourself a fun crafting name!

I had to show you the first fancy fold card folded out! Isn’t it fun?

Here’s one final question for Bev.
What advice would you give to someone just starting to paper craft?
It takes time and experience. Don’t sweat the small stuff, they are handmade cards! So if there is a mistake, no one will notice except you. People are usually thrilled to get a handmade card!
Bev is absolutely correct! Think how excited you are to get a card made with love especially for you!
I hope you loved Bev’s cheerful card making with Hello Ladybug – be sure to take a peek next month to see who and what I have in store for you!
I just love this particular Z fold card using the fabulous ladybug.

I agree, it’s a fabulous card Patti!
Great cards Bev! They are all so bright and happy. I love the ‘impossible’ cad. I was surprised at how possible (and easy) it really is so I taught a few friends how to make them a few weeks ago. They came up with some beautiful designs. It’s a fun card.
You’re right Karen! I’m not sure how it got that name, but once you break it down, it’s not so impossible after all!
I love the first Z fold card, the style, the little ladybug, and the colour choice. The Z fold always makes a statement card in my humble opinion. Very nice DSP as well. An all around beautiful card.
Totally agree Carolyn! The bright red against the white and green makes such an eye catching design!
