When was the last time you used it to decorate cards with craft glitter for Christmas? You know you have it! LOADS of it probably! Dazzling Diamonds glitter! But have you used it lately?
If not you might want to pull it out and dust it off when you see Leslie’s card. A simple one-colour Christmas pine in a pretty fall of snow.
The Winter Wood bundle is beautiful. You might remember I shared tips and tricks when I used it here on this classic holiday greeting.
If nature is your thing, this bundle at 10% off might be calling your name. I know I’ll be using it beyond the holiday season.
Now let’s talk glitter!
Do you reach for your Wink of Stella more than your glitter? Or maybe the frost white shimmer paint is your go to?
I do think we’ve moved away from using the our glitter. Me included. But I believe it’s still number one for adding fantastic sparkle. And the best part? YOU control it.
Think about that for a minute.
- The glimmer paper is a punch, die or cut piece of paper you adhere.
- Shimmery White embossing paste is used more for overall effect. In fact it’s a tad hard to get precise placement.
- And Wink of Stella, while we control it is a much more subtle sheen.
So when you can take the tip of your glue or even a paint brush and get precise, YIPPEE!
I must admit. Sometimes it is hard to control those little flecks. How many of you have found it sparkling up your face – or the dog’s nose occasionally? But isn’t that half the fun? I’ll bet that got a smile when you showed up for your late shift at work! 😅
So if you’re into bling – and I KNOW some of you love it – Dazzling Diamond glitter is your baby!
Now where did Leslie apply her glitter? On the white tree, there are lots of little cut outs where the tree boughs go. Here let me show you a close-up.
Isn’t that gorgeous? She used her liquid glue along each of the cut outs. Yup that’s not a typo. Your liquid glue will dry completely clear and all you see is the pretty sparkle once you decorate cards with craft glitter.
Next she adhered her white tree to the Tranquil Tide die cut and added more liquid glue to the tree bough edges.
What else has she included on her beautiful card?
- embossed Snowfall background
- simple greeting made with layering ovals
- one gold faceted gem
OK, I’ve got a challenge for you. Get out that glitter and make everything sparkly.
Here’s everything Leslie used to create her card. Remember the bundles only stay in the current catalogue (and this one’s done as of Jan 2nd) so you’ll want to grab your 10% discount before it’s too late!
