It’s getting towards the end of November so you might already be thinking about easy card making ideas for the holidays!
You know, it never fails to amaze me how quickly time goes! Just the other day I’m sure it was September and we still had all kinds of time to get our festive greetings ready for the mail!
Well, once again, here I am trying to get them done so they arrive in mailboxes before the new year!
So I thought maybe a quick card idea might not go amiss with you either!

Even though this is a quick card, there are a few elements that make it stand out.
Easy Card Making Ideas for the Holidays
These tricks will have you crafting gorgeous cards in a fraction of the time!
Dry Embossing
There’s nothing like adding some texture to a card background to instantly amp up the WOW factor. Here the Winter Snow embossing folder does all the work!
I embossed it on a Merry Merlot cardstock panel and glued it to a folded Mossy Meadow card.
Simple Die Cuts
I pulled out a previously cut heart from my Stitched Be Mine Dies (see my quick tip here for how to grab a die at a moment’s notice!) in Crumb Cake. I wanted one without any fancy details since I didn’t want it to detract from the snowflake background.
With a little bit of sponging with Merry Merlot ink around the edge, it softened it just a tad. It’s adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Limited Words and Embellishments
A single word and embellishment are all that are needed to send your holiday greetings. Resist the urge to add a lot of glitz and shine here as it is more of a rustic design!
