Easy DIY Cards with the Pick a Punch
I just love when a card takes only minutes to make and looks this great! Get all the steps today to make this one at home.
Don’t you think there’s something so cheery about mixing bright colours for leaves and flowers? When you have a stamps as cute as this Lovely You set, there’s no reason to stick to “real flower” colours.
So let’s switch it up and make one like this!
So quick and easy and what a fun card to receive in the mail!
Aren’t these yummy colours? You can find them all in Stampin’ Up!’s Brights colour family. Which one is your favourite?
Bundled stamps are the way to save money on your cardmaking! Here, the bundle I used is Lovely You. With a fantastic selection of stamps and greetings, it was probably close to the first thing I ordered from the Annual Catalogue. And why not get them as a bundle when you can save 10%?
Plus who can resist a punch that works six times the job of a regular punch?
You can mix and match which colours you would like to use for any of the images. Or, make your card just like mine!
The fun edge on the banner is made with that cool Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. Rather than layer them so with a total matting of Coastal Cabana around the sentiment, I thought I would just have a bit of colour peeking out the left side.
Here are all the measurements and steps so you can make one yourself.
Cuttin’ It Up!
- Thick Whisper White – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5 1/2″, strip 1″ x 3 1/2″
- Coastal Cabana – 1″ x 3 5/8″
Let’s Make It!
1.Lay card flat and stamp one of each stamp design in each colour onto the bottom right corner of card. Make a Granny Apple Green leaf, Coastal Cabana branch, Daffodil Delight large flower, Gorgeous Grape small duo flower and Melon Mambo single flower.
2.Stamp greeting in Melon Mambo ink onto 1″ strip of Whisper White, placing it about 1/2″ from the left edge. Use the same colours of ink for the images as in 1. above and stamp off the edge of the strip.
3.Place left edge of strip in Pick a Punch and punch. I used the plainer edge for mine.
4.Insert the strip of Coastal Cabana into the same Pick a Punch and punch out.Line up the
5.Repeat stamping on the inside of the card but a little more to the right edge so there will be more room to write your inside message.
6. Add a few Gold Glitter enamel dots around the front image to add a bit of shine.
Over to You!
The Lovely You bundle is one of the most popular in the Annual Catalogue. And with good reason. It offers tons of versatility for your card making at reduced cost. See another way I used it here to make a tiny purse notecard!
