Think you can make easy handmade Easter card ideas in less than ten minutes? I know you can! How? Because 15 ladies made this card in a Stamp-a-Stack I held last weekend. And SIX were brand-spanking-new stampers! A
nd also because for the first time, I’ve created a video with all the Keep It Simple Sunday steps so you can watch and follow along. It’ll be just like you’re right in my craft room with me!
But first take a peek at what we’re making!
I haven’t done a card with the spotlight technique in awhile. Have you ever heard of that? When I first became a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator almost 16 years ago (boy time flies when you’re having FUN!) this was one of the first techniques I shared in a workshop. It has really stood the test of time and is one to always have in your back pocket!
Why do I LOVE it so much? It’s:
- has fabulous results and
- I get to watercolour (probably my all-time favourite way to colour!)
It’s a super quick way to take a detailed image and colour only a portion of it and have a gorgeous card.
SOOO, that means, you can make a pile of these pretty darn quickly and get them out the door in time for Easter! Take a look at the video to see exactly how time-saving this technique is!
So like all my Keep It Simple Sunday projects, I’ve listed the ingredients below, but the how-to recipe is in the video. If you’re thinking, “bin there, done that and got the spotlight t-shirt to show for it”, you’re still going to want to take a listen! I’d love to hear your comments on what you think!
