Simple Handmade Card with a Watercolour Flower Die

The Nature’s Harvest bundle comes to life with this clean and simple design. It was the first bundle I started playing with when my order arrived.

I love the vintage-y look. Wonderful with so many techniques like colouring, tone on tone, watercolour, heat embossing. The list goes on and on.

And those dies? Gorjus!

We had a bit of a debate at my Mini Catalogue Open House on the weekend about what type of flower this is. Brown or black-eyed susan? Chamomile? Echinacea? What do you think?

What Other Features Make This Card Special?

  • A dry embossed background creates added texture! This one showcases the new Timber 3D embossing folder which is an amazingly inexpensive addition to your crafting tool kit.
  • An off-centre flower die. Tuck the flower to the right and create an overlapping label that pulls to the left for balance.
  • Subtle colouring. Use neutral tones so the vibrancy of the flower takes centre stage.
  • A semi-floppy bow. The bow is small and almost nestled in behind the label so it adds a touch of rustic without interfering with the flower.
