Beautiful handmade encouragement cards are one-of-a-kind ways to connect with friends, especially during this time of pandemic. It’s amazing how a simple gesture like sending a card to someone to let them know you are thinking of them can spread sunshine.
Here’s one card with the perfect sentiment.
We made this card in a recent Facebook Live in my community of paper crafters. In fact, this was card number three in a “step-it-up” interactive presentation. I do love getting together and getting creative with a bunch of friends every Tuesday night. You can join in too, just by clicking here.
Let’s take a closer peek so you can see the different intensities of colour.
Handmade Encouragement Cards
Can you see how pretty those dots are along the edge of the panel? So subtle and delicate.
What Makes This Card Stand Out?
- the pretty stamps – I used the Positive Thoughts stamps in Rococo Rose, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake colours
- different intensity of colour – each stamp was inked once, spritzed and then stamped again (and in some cases, one more time again)
- a bordered focal point image – this is easy to do with the awesome Nature’s Thoughts Dies – want to see how to make it?Click here to see the video (especially the part where I used dental floss 🤪!)!
- the longer banner offset with the champagne flower and a few faceted dots
Now you don’t want to leave the inside naked. The technique we used on the front we repeated for the inside so it perfectly coordinates.
Over to You!
