Get super shiny results when you know how to heat emboss any ink colour! Sometimes having only dye based ink pads from Stampin’ Up! can seem just a tad bit limiting! While colour saturation is fantastic, sometimes I want a little bit more…uh something!
Now don’t get me wrong. I LUVH my SU! colours and inks. But sometimes don’t you wish they just had a bit more pizzazz too?
Well I figured out how to add that bit of sheen and shine with my Stamparatus tool. EVERY time if I want!
Here’s today’s project.
The Accented Blooms stamps are on this year’s Last Chance List. So I want to show you one more time how lovely I think this larger stamp is. Especially when you add in an awesome accent like the colour embossed thank you!
Let’s take a closer look!
Heat Emboss Any Ink Colour
Such a pretty script with our greeting. Can you see the pebbled and shiny colour around the words?
I’ve shared this technique before with this same stamp set on this post. But I wanted to showcase it one more time since I just love how it turns out with these bold solid word stamps.
What’s the trick?
Using your Stamparatus and your Versamark pad with clear embossing powder! Add as many layers of Versamark and embossing powder as you want to get the perfect amount of glossiness!
This video shows you exactly how to do it!
Jo’s Design Tips
- use Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to add beautiful shading to the flower and leaves
- only partially colour the image so the shiny embossed image stands out even more
- add some glitzy glimmer paper (sadly retiring June 2nd too) as a mat for the focal point
- draw the eye with an offset piece of bold ribbon and a gleaming faceted gem
- create the look of background texture with a piece of Woven Threads designer series paper
- don’t forget about the inside!
Give It a Try!
There’s quite a few items on this card which will no longer be available starting June 3rd.
- the stamp set itself
- the Woven Threads designer series paper
- Gold Glimmer paper
- black satin ribbon
So if you’ve been holding off thinking there’s nothing else on the Last Chance List you need, maybe just consider if you have some big bold images that will give you some stand-out results like this one! If not, add them to your own stash by clicking on any of them here.Heat Emboss Any Ink Colour
