It’s Tips’n Tricks video day again and this time I want to show you how to dry emboss a one layer card.

While I love look of multiple layers on my designs along with all of you, sometimes I want the simplicity of a single layer card. Not only is it economical, it’s a way to showcase your favourite embossing folders. So I thought I would show you a trick I have to make sure I get to use ALL my embossing folders in this way.

Now you might not have an embossing folder with words like Scripty. But any folder with a directional pattern which can only be understood one way will have the same issues. Take a peek at yours and see which ones you have that could become a one layer card!

You’re going to want to also add a decorative envelope to marry the card and outside wrapping. See exactly how to do this with my last Jo-TIPS video, 5 Ways to Decorate an Envelope.

When you have a one layer card, you might not want to cover it all up. Instead add a simple image or embellishment like I did with the Heart Punch Pack for a fabulous design.

Isn’t this embossing lovely?
