The Thoughtful Wishes stamps and dies make a WOW card!

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I love the contrast of playing with black and white and a pop of colour. Often it’s Daffodil Delight I chose. Sometimes it’s bright pink. Like today’s design with Berry Burst as the complementary colour.

Don’t you think the boldness of the colour contrast catches your eye?

If you love black and colour together, you’ll also love seeing how the 2024-26 In Colors compare!

You Can’t Beat Bundled Savings!

Now’s the time to pick up your Thoughtful Wishes Bundle (163314) from the new 2024-25 Annual Catalogue! You’ll start using it for so many great card designs this spring and summer!

Plus when you purchase the bundle, you can save 10% off the total cost!

You can see another way to use the stamps and how to watercolour a stunning card we made together last week!

Add Some Bling

There’s something magical about glimmer paper. Is it the sparkle? Or the texture?

Or maybe for you it’s how it catches the light?

Whatever the draw it, you can’t deny it’s ability to instantly elevate your handmade cards!

Pair up two different colours and you’ve got double the WOW!

How to Make a WOW Card

Make a quick click for a short video on how to make this sparkly card at home!

I created another version of this card in our Design with Jo community of crafters this morning! We get together every week and we’d love to say hi to you too over there! You’ll find us crafting up some fun every Tuesday morning at 11 AM Mountain Time.

Now it’s time to cut these supplies and make your own WOW card for a special friend!

Cuttin’ It Up!

Rifle through your stash for your glimmer and glitter papers. Then use the same colours I did or play with ones you love best!

  • Basic Black cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White cardstock – one piece 5 1/4″ x 4″, 2nd piece 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″
  • Berry Burst cardstock – 5″ x 3 3/4″
  • Berry Burst Glimmer paper – about 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
  • White Glimmer paper – to fit your die (mine is about 3 1/2″ x 2″

No matter which colours you pick, as soon as you add in the sparkly glimmer paper background, your card will be stunning! Then when you add just one more touch of glimmer with the die, WOW!!

so I’m curious, now you know how to make a WOW card , which of the glimmer papers in your stash of supplies will you use first :)?
