Let me show you how to make zentangle cards with detailed thinlits. You know you’ve got them hanging around right? Lots of detailed thinlits because they’re so pretty with your Stampin’ Up! coloured cardstock.
Well, they’re even more pretty when you combine your Zentangle art with them. I’ve been itching to use the pretty butterfly from the Springtime Impressions thinlits and this is the perfect opportunity.
Elegant, yet simple.
I hit me last week (no worries I survived 😋) that up to now, I’ve only shared card designs with cut out Zentangle shapes in my posts. In fact, you might remember this post where I outlined which framelits I think are the perfect complement to your Zentangle art.
And I realized I’d been missing sharing a whole other batch of card making fun – detailed thinlits. So now I’m remedying that “oops” with this design!
Since there’s lots of detail on the butterfly I chose very simple items to tie the card together:
- A stitched square frame glued down on an angle
- Pretty sentiment that stands on its own in Coastal Cabana ink
- A small piece of knotted ribbon in a coordinating colour (Bermuda Bay 1/4” mini striped ribbon)
- Classic glitter enamel dot embellishments matching the stamped greeting
