I’ve got an edited Facebook Live video for you today on how to use the color lifter for snowman cards. You’re going to want to take a peek to see how this multi-layered card goes together.
Snowmen really are the BEST, aren’t they? Why do you think that is? Is it because
- cuteness is their middle name?
- they’re pretty much always happy, even when they melt?
- they can’t help but make you smile? or
- you can choose to colour them in – or not?
See? Made you smile didn’t he? 🙃
This set from the Holiday Catalogue is so sweet, you’ll be hard-pressed to resist it. Three cutie patootie snow folks with snowflakes and fun greetings. My fave fella is the bottom right corner one. Which one would you pick?
These stamps work just great on plain Whisper White paper even without any colour. But today I DID colour – just a hint really – with my Stampin’ Blends. And I want to show you exactly how the Color Lifter helps out in my video.
Before we get to the show, how about we take a peek at the supplies? It looks a bit lengthy so be sure to watch the video to see how they all come together! How to Use the Color Lifter for Snowman Cards
Grab your popcorn! Time to watch!

Can you see how that little bit of colour gives our fella more personality? On other snowmen I’ve also used Smoky Slate to add shadow with equally great results.
I used this same technique on this snowman design which is a totally different layout.
Let me give you the measurements for this card.
Cuttin’ It Up!
- Card Base – 4 1/4″ x 11, scored at 5 1/2″
- Let It Snow DSP panel – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Cardstock frame – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
- Thick White – 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″, piece 1″ x 3″
- Cardstock for scalloped circle frame – 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
- ribbon – about 6″ to make the bow
I love how shiny the Shimmery Crystal Effects is on our marshmallow snowman. And you can’t feel it through the computer, but it’s sort of raised and just a little “bumpy” just like a snowman would be!
Up To You Now!
If you’re a snowman collector like I am, this set HAS to be calling your name. There’s absolutely no way you could be disappointed when you craft your winter and Christmas greetings with these little munchkins. Buy it now.
Thanks a Bunch
