Let’s see them!
How My Trees Came to Be
I have a confession. I’ve made a rather large – but super duper fun – purchase. And I have my friend Pat, and my sister-in-law Shelly, to thank for helping me spend my moola!
So here’s the story. Shelly won a free sign paint night. You know the kind where a bunch of gals get together to paint wonderful sayings onto wood? Well on the way home after creating my snowflake sign, I said “now there’s something we can do!”
Next up? My friend Pat has an older Brother Scan’n Cut which I had heard about but never really investigated. (Since I have a Big Shot after all.🙄) So I asked if I might borrow it and play around a little. She very generously said yes.
And I bet you can guess the rest right?
I played and, yup, I now have a new Brother Scan’n Cut sitting in my classroom.
I found the cutest idea for watermelon slices in the project templates and I looked at it and thought it would make a perfect tree for our little pine trees. So I played around, resized it, changed up the base and voila!
This little forest were for my team mates who attended the Stampin’ Up! convention in Edmonton, OnStage, a couple weeks ago. Then when I posted them on my Facebook Page, I had folks requesting the recipe.
So not only do I have a template for these little cuties, you also get the step-by-step in my live video replay!
