This Merci chocolate treatholder for Christmas is quick and cute! Use the Double Oval punch and the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP for a sweet treat to have on your festive table.

I like to create candy treats when we get together for our holiday meal. A little sweet treat to finish off – and sometimes start! – the dinner is perfect!

And what could be better than a gingerbread and peppermint theme?

These are the perfect size to tuck into a stocking or tape onto a Christmas present too!

I used the Double Oval punch for my greeting and some scraps of Basic White. Aren’t those little peppermint candies cute?

It seems we are always so frantic right up to Christmas Eve. So this is a project you can create with very few supplies, in a fairly short time! All you need are the Merci chocolates which are available most anywhere.

Make Some Yourself!

Find some festive patterned paper and a punch or dies to make a few of these for your holiday dinner guests!

Cuttin’ It Up!

  • Real Red cardstock – 2 3/4″ x 7 3/4″, scored at 1/2″ and 2 1/4″ on short side, then at 1′, 3 1/2″, 4″ and 6 1/2″ (but make sure you see the video for a TIP for the 6 1/2″ score)
  • Basic White – scraps
  • DSP – one piece 3/4″x 1 1/2″, 2nd piece 1 1/2″ x 2″, 3rd piece 1 1/2″ x 2 3/4″, two pieces 2 1/2″ x 2 7/8″ for wrapping the chocolates, scrap
  • twine or ribbon – about 5″
