Say hello to fall with beautiful handmade cards! In this latest episode of Behind the Paper, An Interview with a Paper Crafter, we get to meet Pam, my friend and sister Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and take a peek at her gorgeous card designs!
You’re in for a treat!
Pam just couldn’t decide on which bundle to showcase for autumn, so we’re lucky enough to see designs from 3 different stamps and bundles!
Here’s the first one…Soft Seedlings, my favourite stand-alone stamp set in the new Mini Catalogue!
Detailed. Precise. Colourful. Gorgeous!
Pam has been rubber stamping and paper crafting for a long time…and her cards show her style and dedication to her craft!
An Interview with a Paper Crafter
How long have you been crafting?
I have been paper crafting for 40+ years!
What “hooked” you about making your own handcrafted cards and items?
Heat embossing with gold and other embossing powers. Love the effect it produces. I like using dies, embossing folders and the different textures they provide.
You can see this in her wonderful Gathered Wheat design.
What are your favourite tools to craft with?
The Cut and Emboss machine. There is so much you can do with this machine from die cutting to embossing etc.
What type of space do you craft in?
I have taken control of the whole basement, for doing classes and creating!
So clear out your basements ladies!! 🤪
Check out Pam’s Hello Harvest fun fold card! What a simple but effective design!?
How many cards do you send out in a week/month/year?
It really varies. I can do up to 60–75 cards in a month.
How much time do you spend crafting? When is your BEST time to craft?
Some days I don’t do anything and then other days I go from morning to night. Very motivated by stress!
I find that I work best later in the evening.
I love how Pam made two of this very very similar design…but not exact!! Can you spot the differences from the one above?
Was I right?
Pam’s cards made with the two bundles and one stamp set are over-the-top stunning! And don’t you just feel those warm, fuzzy feelings of fall now?
Before these bundles sell out, you’re going to want to pick yours up for your fall crafting. I’d love it if you chose me as your Canadian demonstrator. Shop now in my 24-7 online store with a simple click here.
If you’d like one more idea for some autumn card making, see my handmade pumpkin Thanksgiving card from last year.
How about another totally different idea from Pam and the Soft Seedlings stamps?
I think this one is my favourite! The white embossing powder sponged with Soft Suede and Balmy Blue makes a stunning book fold card.
And Pam’s attention to detail with the little Open Leaf Trinkets is the perfect finishing touch!
Do You Have a Favourite?
Let me know which of these designs hits all the right notes for you! (And I’ll be sure to let Pam know!)

Here’s a last bit of advice from Pam.
What advice would you give to someone just starting to paper craft?
- Have a good paper trimmer.
- Start small you don’t need everything at once. Choose a Stamp set, ink and paper. (SIP)
- Grow your supplies as you become more confident in creating your card, Scrapbook Page etc.
- Ask if you are not sure how to use a product you have purchased.
Wonderful tips Pam, especially that last one! There is NEVER a stupid question!!
I sure hope you take some of Pam’s ideas to add into your own stamping studio! Then say hello to fall with beautiful handmade cards to WOW your friends and neighbours!
