Let’s make a simple encouragement card using rubber stamps, a card you can give to any friend, male or female. How many times does your card making take you hours and hours? Do you layer on dies and embellishments, then have a hard time fitting it in the envelope? Do you feel like you can’t quite pick your colours to convey a certain feel?
This simple card is the solution!
Simple. Fast. Beautiful.
Simple Encouragement Card Using Rubber Stamps
I pulled out a set I haven’t used in awhile. My Beautiful Promenade photopolymer stamps were ideal to create this clean and classic design. The greeting takes centre stage on the card, but is complemented by the small flower cluster (which I hadn’t yet used!)
And although there are a set of dies to match this set (Beautiful Layers), they always add on an extra step so I decided to leave them out for this card.
But you can see another easy design which pulls in one of the dies you don’t normally see in this video.
Sahara Sand and Mossy Meadow were a perfect choice so I could send this to any of my gal or guy friends. Yes, flowers can work for a fella when they are in neutrals like this! 😁
Take a peek at the inside.
Let’s take a closer look at what elements make this card work so well.
Jo’s Design Details
- out-of-the-norm card dimensions (4″ x 4″)
- limit to two colours on a bright white
- symmetrical image placement offset with a centred bolder greeting
- repeated layering of Whisper White image layer on a Mossy Meadow mat
- simple embellishment in the same colour – I’ve found the Linen Thread is a perfect match to Sahara Sand
Now It’s Your Turn!
What do you need a card for right now? A wedding, sympathy, birthday, congratulations, thank you? This design will fit the bill for every one of those occasions. You don’t even need to pull in your Stamparatus since the stamps are photopolymer so you can see right through them for great placement.
