Let’s take a closer look.

Sometimes all you need to jazz up your designs is a new colour!

I love the clean lines of this card – but most of all the colour! Seaside Spray was the first 2019-20 In Color I fell in love with! Sort of a smoky lavender blue. You can see comparisons of all the new ones here.

It’s a lovely colour – and works really well with a neutral like Crumb Cake. TIP: The scalloped ribbon helped me pick the colour 😉.

But I need your help too. Which one appeals to you more? The one above, or this one?

There’s only a couple little changes! Did you notice what they were?

How about the colour I chose for the words? And a few pearls sprinkled around? That’s all, but it might make you take a second look.

I mentioned the items that make this card quick to make. Let’s explore those a little more with a few TIPS I use every day.

Two Step Rubber Stamped Technique

I LOVE This Simple Handmade Thank You Card

The Painted Poppies is a fan favourite in the January to June Mini Catalogue! Such great flower images and neat backgrounds you can use to two step rubber stamp!

See that great little splatter stamp? That’s what I used to quickly colour the poppies. Easy peasey lemon sqeezey!

No need to pull out your markers. This airy look is fun!

Pre-cut Dies

Timesaving TIP: One of the first things I do with a new set of dies, is pull out a bunch of different coloured cardstock. Then I crop several with my die cutting machine and keep them in a clear envelope in my stamp set. That way they are there to pull out whenever creativity strikes.

Here’s the So Sentimental bundle with these gorgeous stitched dies. Perfect for layering and sized for these all occasion greetings.

Designing with a Dry Embossed Background

Dry embossing is one of the quickest ways to add flair to your cards. not only is it fast, it’s always classy. And there are so many wonderful designs to choose from, like the Coastal Weave. Generic enough to work for both guys and gals.

And you can save on cardstock by embossing your single layer card. See the technique with this video.
