This stunning handmade Christmas card shows just what you can do with die cuts!
Die cuts with a twist that is!
Take a peek!
We normally think about die cuts as shapes of something right? Just like you see on this Christmas wreath card.
But here it cuts out the inside shapes and leaves behind a wonderful peek-a-boo effect!
Believe me, this looks a lot more intricate – and hard – than it is! Your Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine and a versatile die do all the work!
For this design I used the Ornate Envelopes Dies which are being retired and are only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!
In addition to the three peek through designs, you’ll get dies to cut inserts for 5 different sized envelopes and some frames to coordinate with the stamps in the Ornamental Envelopes set. (You can see where I’ve used it here).
What versatility! Always one of my top considerations when I’m choosing stamps and dies!
Stunning Handmade Christmas Card
Let’s Take a Closer Look
My greeting is heat embossed with white powder on the top left of my card. It comes from the itty Bitty Christmas stamp set, which has 18 different holiday sentiments!
Rather than just plain old cardstock behind the cutout, I dry embossed with my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine and one of the two Wrapped in Texture mini embossing folders (also retiring!). That way it’s even more interesting to peek through!
Instead of using Just Jade ribbon to accent my card, I went for a touch of elegance with the Pool Party sheer ribbon.
Lastly, I added a few basic rhinestones to add some sparkle.
