Let’s see how you can amp up your two step stamping a handmade card! Learn a few simple tricks to take your cards from pretty…to pretty spectacular!

In my latest YouTube live, you’ll learn:

  • how to two step stamp
  • ways to get more mileage from one ink pad colour
  • how to save moola right now in your stamp room
  • an easy trick to modify word stamps, and
  • how to power up your card making with frame dies

I shared all this – and more – in my YouTube Live the other day!

But first let’s see the card I showed you how to make in the live.

Two Step Stamping a Handmade Card
An elegant design with easy touches to add yourself

The gorgeous flower takes centre stage for our card today. And while you could just have the flower glued to the front of a card – and it will look lovely – take it a few steps up and you’ll have a remarkable design that won’t soon be forgotten.

Mango Melody is the colour of my flower. However this ink pad is now sold out and no longer available from Stampin’ Up! A great replacement would be Daffodil Delight.

Every single thing on this card, except the Brushed Brass Butterflies (sorry, I goofed on those guys) and the vellum and white cardstock are now retiring in the Stampin’ Up! catalogues! And most are at ridiculous discounts of up to 60% off!

It’s a sale too fabulous to miss!

I love taking items from my supplies I haven’t used in awhile and try new things with them. In this case, I used an easy step to add some instant OOOMPH to my design – that you can copy!

Don’t you think it’s so interesting to see the steps to amp it up?

Click the triangle to see how now!

Let’s see a close up of that pretty flower. Mango Melody (one of our retiring colours I am the saddest about) is the colour I choose for today’s card. But I shared another colour in the video you might like too.

I love the two step detail here. I gave you some tips for creating the two-tone look.

See the duo-tone in this two step stamped flower image! So pretty!

Not only did I showcase the Art Gallery stamps and Floral Gallery Dies (both at 60% off so a SUPER deal at $30.80!), I showed two other dies retiring, the Fabulous Frames and Stitched Greenery.

Did you see how to get that added interest on the frame?

Let’s Do Some Two-Steppin’!

Find a set of two step rubber stamps and let’s see if you can come up with a design with a touch of the spectacular too!

Cuttin’ It Up!

  • Pear Pizzazz – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Delicate Desert DSP – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White (Regular) and Pear Pizzazz- larger scraps
  • Optional: Vellum cardstock

But if you’d like to make it with the exact same items I used, simply click here to pin, print or order to have it shipped directly to your home. Thanks so much for supporting my business and shopping with me in Canada.

Before we finish up, you’ll want to take a peek at this blog showing you exactly what is gilded leafing where I again showcased this gorgeous flower.

Here’s a couple other designs I shared. Be sure to watch the video to the end where I tell you exactly what I used to make them!

I know you know how fun it is to two step stamping a handmade card, but when you can add just a few extra special touches with only a couple extra minutes of effort, think how much your card will WOW the person you give it to!
