Today we’re going to CASE the Cattie and answer the question what does stamping off mean in card making!
What’s a CASE?
Copy And Share Everything is what CASE stands for. It means we can look at ANY design we see and make it with our own stamping supplies. To find out more, click here.
It’s what I’ve started to do every week on my Facebook Business page. And I’d love for you to come join me live every Thursday at 11 am MDT. Click here to see my page now.
Today is episode 5. Can you guess what page of the catalogue I used as my inspiration for this card?
A bright and cheery card made with one of my top colour combos, yellow (Mango Melody), white and black. If it’s one of your fave combos too, you may like this design too.
And don’t miss the other two samples I made with alternative stamps and colours you can check out in the video!
What Does Stamping Off Mean in Card Making
When I CASEd the catalogue card that I made for you in the video, I chose a totally different stamp set and colours. This one is a much bolder card.

Let’s see a close up of our card. You can see the different intensities of the ink and how much more interesting it can make your design when you follow the simple trick I shared!
Do you know which sample I showed you how to make with my stamps, ink and paper? You can see it on page 109 of our 2021-22 Annual Catalogue…or how about I give you a hint and you can guess?
Time to Craft!
It’s time to find your own two-step stamps and ink along with some baker’s twine to make your own version of this card! Here are the measurements.
Cuttin’ It Up!
- Mango Melody – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″, second piece 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

If you’d rather create the exact same design as me, this is everything I used. I would be thrilled if you shopped with me if you live in Canada. You can do so by clicking on any image below and it will ship directly to your home. Thank you!Supplies I Used
