Hey crafter, take a look at these Whimsy and Wonder Christmas Cards made by my friend and crafter Rhonda! In this latest episode of Behind the Paper, An Interview with a Paper Crafter, we get to know Rhonda a little bit more and see her amazing designs!

I always ask my featured crafter if there’s a particular bundle they would like to show off. For Rhonda it was a toss up between the Gorgeous Leaves bundle and the Whimsy and Wonder Collection.

I’m so glad – and I think you will be too – she decided on Whimsy and Wonder!

Lots of fun elements. Intricate cutting. A passion for paper.

I think that perfectly describes how Rhonda likes to craft. But let’s see what she says…

An Interview with a Paper Crafter

How long have you been crafting?

Forever. Since I was a kid.

What “hooked” you about making your own handcrafted cards and items?

I love making books. Making beautiful gifts and cards for people is my favourite thing. I don’t usually keep my books. They are almost always done with someone in mind.

What are your favourite tools to craft with?

My paper trimmer with fresh blades, Crop-a-Dile for setting eyelets and Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

What type of space do you craft in?

Everywhere. I pack up my supplies in my “31” totes and my art space goes with me.

How many cards do you send out in a week/month/year?

A month 3-4, but spring I send 20 seed packets in cards and Christmas about 50.

How much time do you spend crafting?  When is your BEST time to craft?

Not enough. I need to make a date with myself to paper craft and not get sidetracked. Best time lately is after work while supper is cooking. Just enough time to make a card.

For big projects I like weekends so I can devote the day.

Doesn’t Rhonda have a ton of different ways to play with paper? She’s even got her own Facebook page, called Rhonda’s Paper and Book Design.

Here’s a closer peek at that collection. Specialty DSP with a really different holiday colour palette, pretty snowflake punch outs, stamps, dies and pretty ribbon. A perfectly coordinated way to say Merry Christmas!

Whimsy and Wonder Collection has a bit of everything!

Rhonda loves paper and playing so much, she decided to join Stampin’ Up! and become a demonstrator earlier this year. Before that though, here’s another of her artistic designs that I CASEd!

This full collection was so popular, we couldn’t order everything for quite awhile, But now we can again! Just one easy number – 156276 – can get you everything! I’d love it if you chose me as your Canadian demonstrator. Shop now with a simple click here.

How about we finish up with a fabulous fun fold idea from Rhonda and this wonderful collection?

Here’s one final question for Rhonda.

What advice would you give to someone just starting to paper craft?

Get some good basic tools that are really versatile. Cheap tools will just be frustrating. Don’t be too hard on yourself, we’re our own toughest critic. You’re creating beautiful things from the love in your heart.

Rhonda is exactly right. Everything we do as paper crafters is done with heart!

I hope you enjoyed Rhonda’s Whimsy and Wonder Christmas Cards – be sure to check back next month to see who and what I showcase for you!
