Have you seen the free Sale-a-bration item the Wonderful World Bundle? My friend and long-time crafter Leslie is playing with the stamps and beautiful DSP! In this latest episode of Behind the Paper, An Interview with a Paper Crafter, we take a peek at her creativity with this bundle!
As soon as Leslie pulled out her ink pads, these stamps came alive with possibility! She was hooked! Let’s see what she came up with!

Lots of fun techniques on this one little card. Sponging, splattering, paper piecing, die cutting and markers! And such a stunning presentation!
For all Leslie’s designs, she paired the new Go To Greetings stamps with the flowers and DSP. You can see the great versatility of these sentiments in this fast DIY black and white birthday card.
Leslie really likes to play with ink and stamps. And these Wonderful World bundle stamps are a Distinktive set. That means you get an almost 3D impression with only one inking. You can see one of the first Distinktive stamps we ever had in the most popular 2018 Sale-a-Bration stamp set.
But it’s not only stamps. Look what you can do with the amazing paper and a simple label!

But let’s learn a little more about Leslie and why and how she crafts…
An Interview with a Paper Crafter
How long have you been crafting?
Since I was young. I started card making about 37 years ago, when I found my first rubber stamp!
Name the top 3 tools you recommend for anyone starting to paper craft.
- Paper trimmer/cutter
- Heat gun with 2 settings (for heat embossing, a WOW technique)
- Adhesives, liquid glue and double sided adhesive
- Plus…a good black ink pad!

What is your favourite occasion to create for and why?
So many, but family birthday and special occasions, Christmas and fun cards for friends and family to let them know I am thinking of them.
Where do you get most of your ideas to craft with?
YouTube videos from other stampers, and occasionally from magazines.
I belong to a challenge group, where we take turns choosing a challenge for each month, then we make a card and email a picture of the card to the others. It’s a chance to research, see new ideas, and keep in touch!

What was the last paper crafting tool you purchased and why did you get it?
Not sure, but I think it was blending brushes. They are easy to work with and give a beautiful result. Of all the blending tools I have, these work the best for me.
What is your “go to” layout for a card if you need to make one in a hurry?
Simple and elegant, an image plus a sentiment.

Aren’t Leslie’s designs beautiful? And there’s more to come!
Here’s a closer look at that bundle. Papers to use for a patterned background, ones to cut out larger and smaller flowers, and a lovely stamp set. It’s really a “wonderful” bundle!

Oh and I couldn’t leave you without showing one more fabulous idea! How cool is this brass paper ring design framed with the cut out DSP?

Here’s one final question for Leslie.
How is your paper crafting area set up so you can create cards quickly and easily?
Oh dear, well, it’s actually a mess right now! But I have the tools I use most often on my desk where I make the cards. I have a holder with 3 bins for things like scissors, pencils, bone folder etc that I use often. My adhesives and alcohol markers are close as well as post it notes and scrap paper. I have a large room, and store stamps and other items on shelves and separate tables. I’m very lucky to have the space!
Leslie is lucky and so are we for her generosity in sharing her designs with us.
I hope you enjoyed a walk through her lovely cards with the Wonderful World Bundle – be sure to check back next month to see who and what stamps and designs I feature for you!
Love all the card ideas and each one is so different! TFS 🙂
