As much as we might wish for it, unless we have a magic wand, we just can’t make more time by snapping our fingers!
In fact, it’s what the majoirty of paper crafters complain about the most! There’s just never enough time to get to the fun stuff in our lives, like card making.

I love this sketch for many reasons:
- it uses an easy to cut square image for a backdrop
- there’s lots of white space
- the off-centred focal point adds visual interest
- you can use your little sentiments which sometimes get neglected

More About Our Sketch
Today’s layout is another easy one but this time one with a off-centred focal point. Matted squares create the perfect backdrop to a pretty posy.
While our posy isn’t exactly a diamond shape, you’ll want an image that allows you to see the two squares in behind it. You can either cut your squares (like I did for the glimmer paper) or use a dies like the Bubble Bath Stylish Shapes. The dotted edge adds lots of personality.
Feel free to download this image to your Pinterest Sketches folder so you can refer to it whenever you’re in the mood for a simple time-saving design.
Spice Up Your Image
Since you’ve used a sketch for your card design, you’ll have lots of time to play with a neat technique!
So rather than stamping the flower in one solitary colour of ink, use your sponge daubers to create more interest. Simply pick up ink with the sponge dauber and tap it onto the parts of the stamp you want it on. Add a darker colour on the edges of the flowers and a green for the stem. Then stamp it onto your Basic
Get added charm by not worrying about getting the ink colours precise!
