I hope you didn’t miss our live this week when we made another squash fold card!

This time we focussed on one with a cardstock base so don’t miss the hints and tricks I suggest for you if you’d love to try one of these.

Compared to the squash fold card with DSP I shared in a video last week, doesn’t this one have a totally different look and feel?! Perfect for big and small kids!

Another Squash Fold Card
The Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper makes a happy and cheerful card!

Kids and younger folks especially will get a kick out of your ingenuity! Can you not just see a young person’s eyes lighting up at this one?

One of the things you notice first is the Bright & Beautiful DSP.

With 10 different colours, you’ll be playing for weeks with the designs in this package!

I did do a separate video to show you how to make this card in the Perennial Lavender DSP. It has slightly different measurements so you might want to check that out. You can see that by heading over to the squash fold card with DSP post.

And don’t miss the special little technique in that video to add to your own stamping toolkit.

The Beauty of Coordinating Dies

The fun thing about this card?

The greeting, the birthday presents and the stars (inside) all come from the same set of dies. The Wanted to Say Dies are pretty great. Not only do you get some happy script sentiments, each sentiment has a larger mat so you can create an outline with just one swipe through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.

You can see how cute the presents are in this close up view of the tag we made.

The little debossed details on the presents and the bow are adorable! You’ll get tons of use from these little guys for celebrations like birthdays, Christmas and other special holidays.

I love how the Bright & Beautiful DSP has the bigger bolder stars we used on the outside as well as the smaller ones we pulled into the inside!

Here’s all the cut measurements to make your own card just like this!
