Have you ever tried a double embossed fancy Christmas card?
Wanna be surprised? And delighted?
I think you just might be after you see the card we made in yesterday’s Facebook live!
In bright and shiny copper with a cool Very Vanilla base. It’s a beauty card!
Copper is THE trendiest metallic at the moment! If you’re loving it too, take a peek and learn how to heat emboss a pretty Christmas card for another idea. (Pssst…that Christmas card uses a stamp set you’d NEVER think to use!)
Let’s see what we made together (and don’t miss the other ones I shared down below)!

How’d I Pick That Colour Combo?
Actually I didn’t pick the combo LOL!!
The VIPeeps (our 1,100 plus Facebook community of crafters) chose our copper colour for today’s design. (You can see a silver version below too!)
Each week they get to pick something we’ll be creating with!
Become a VIPeep “picker”, and you can get your vote in too! Be sure to join our group now!
So what stamps and dies did we use?
A bundle you may not have paired the word “fancy” with before! Merry & Bright!

I loved the cheery fun of this bundle.
So much so in fact, I purchased the entire collection of designer papers, ribbon and embellishments! (Did you know you can do that with one wee little item code? Dead easy! It’s 161956)
Whenever I invest that much of my crafting budget in one item, I always want to make sure I get the most bang for my paper crafting budget.
So I look for new and interesting ways to change things up!
Then when I get to share them with you so you can see the possibilities!
It gives me a real charge!
How about we take a look-see at how-to to craft this one up?
Double Embossed Fancy Christmas Card
Unfortunately, for some reason, when I downloaded my FB live video, the audio is all wonky! So please enjoy it on the Facebook replay!

I ended up sharing quite a few tips and tricks as we went along in today’s live!
Which tip do you think makes the most sense for you to start using your craft space?

Here are the Measurements & Supplies to Make It Yourself!
Cuttin’ It Up!
- Very Vanilla – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″, 3 1/2″ x 5″, scrap
- Rose Gold Foil Specialty Paper – scrap at least 5 1/4″ long, large enough scrap for your matting
- White Iridescent Ribbon ribbon – about 6″”

You know, it’s funny.
Whenever I give folks the option to pick one of the three Rose Gold finishes, it seems either the bright shiny or the holographic one is the winner.
I end up feeling a bit sorry for the poor little left out matte guy.
But you might be a bit surprised to see how gorgeous the matte copper is on one of the sample cards (it’s in the photos below).
How to Recreate this Exact Card
If you’d like to make this design with the exact same supplies I did, just click here to pin, print or order them for your own stamp space. I really appreciate when you spend your paper crafting budget with me as your Canadian Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. Thank you!
Here are two other versions of this exact card. Look how eye-catching adding in colour can be!

If you’ve skipped right over this bundle (or collection) in the catalogue because you think it might be a bit limiting?
I encourage you to give it a second glance.
This is just the start of the possibilities!
Pair it up with cool colours, fancy papers and embossing folders and it takes on a whole new persona! Just like it did in this double embossed fancy Christmas card!
