Today I’ve got a short video for a super easy handmade birthday card kids will love! A bit of stamping, cutting, colouring and gluing and you’ll have a cute design for any little girl or guy kid!
First we’ll take a peek at the card so you can see what we’ll be working towards.
Who can resist cracking a smile with these three little puffins and some funky colourful patterned paper?? We kept this one super simple but only colouring the fish “present” and the birthday hat. All the rest of the colour comes from the designer series paper strips behind these party animals!
What do you think? Ours is more for a little fella? You might be right with the blues and green.
But you know what?
Change up your colours to pinks and purples and it’s ideal for a young gal too.

I love that our one package of Designer Series Paper has so many different patterns. This gives you lots of versatility and you can see all 4 of them in the four strips on this card.
I Need Your Input!
I had a hard time deciding which way this fish was supposed to go. What do you think? Is he upside down?

Pick a couple of the colours of patterned paper and use your Stampin’ Blends to add just a little bit of colour. The charm in this card is the bold black images on the colourful background.
But it never hurts to add a little extra ooomph!
It’s Time to Get Creative!
Search out your stamps and some colourful patterned paper to recreate a card like this! Here are the measurements.

Thanks a Bunch
I hope you took a minute to watch the video? I got right to the nitty gritty since I know you don’t always have a ton of time to watch! No chitter chatter, just the straight goods!
You know what? I think this would also be a fabulous card for kids to make to take to a birthday party for their friends! You can cut the paper and stamp the images for the little ones, and let them cut them out and glue them on! They’ll have a ball, and it will be extra special for their little friend!
