It’s time to craft really fast cards with this post all about how to save time card making!

It’s the number one complaint my email community tells me about. You never have enough time to get to making your cards!

Ephemera Packs to the Rescue!

Isn’t it wonderful Stampin’ Up! has twigged to our perennial time crunch problem? They’ve introduced four fabulous Ephemera Packs. And believe me, these are the “cat’s meow” when it comes to creating TONS of different cards…FAST!

Even for me, who is a dyed in the wool, long-time, create-it-from-scratch, card maker, these pre-coloured diecuts are great! They’re

  • easy to use
  • convenient
  • so easy to mix & match, and
  • full of options!

During a recent 45 minute presentation where I featured these packs, I created 12 cards while I was talking and showing the die cuts! I’m not sure I’ve EVER created that many in such a short time!

You can see exactly how long it took to create this happy cake card in the video below.

Lots of layering options with multiple die cuts for a fun birthday card!

Which Ephemera Packs did I use?

  • Something for Everything
  • Saying Something
  • Labels and Layers

It’s really incredible how many options there are!

While I didn’t use the florals on the card I made in the video, I show you all the pages in the video.

I normally create along with folks in my Facebook Page, Design with Jo. And I would love it if you join us every Tuesday morning at 11 AM Mountain Time. We’re always excited to say Hi to new paper crafters who come to join in.

Want to See Some More?

I’ve had lots of fun creating tons of cards. And so far all I’ve used is one half of each of the 4 Ephemera Packs. Even less than that as I’ve had lots of left over dies I can still use.

So I’m talking not just a few cards, but MULTIPLE cards!

These are just a few of the ones I’ve designed! Which of these do you like the most?

Here are the supplies you’ll need to make an alternative of today’s design.

Cuttin’ It Up!

  • Blueberry Bushel cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ on the long edge
  • Basic White cardstock – 3 1/8″ x 4 1/4″, 2nd piece 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

I guarantee you’ll be able to make more cards in less time with these packs. Play with your arrangement just like I did in the video. You’ve got so many ways to create some fab cards!

Whether you’re new to paper crafting or have been card making for years or just want to have some fun with your grandkids or best pals, you are going to love how these packs mix and match!

They’re a wonderful way to amp up your cards or scrapbooks! And once you start to play, you’ll have a long time before you run out of ideas. And best of all, you’re going to love how to save time card making!
