Shake things up with this In Color Hang an Ornament Christmas card! While pink and grey may not be your tried and true go-to colours for Christmas holidays, it’s time to break the mold! Why not use Petunia Pop for the festive season!? It was our colour of the month in September for our 2024 In Color Club!

See how the Petunia Pop pairs with our Basic Gray cardstock and a dash of pink and white glimmer paper for a fabulous festive design!

Petunia Pop – fabulous for holiday cards!

Did you notice the shaded embossed background? Although the Birch Wood 3D panel could have been left plain white, the “pop” of Petunia Pop really “pops” our ornament (OK, I’m done with the popping LOL!)

I do love the white embossing on the Basic Gray bauble itself. While you can always copy it for an elegant design (sort of like we have with this card), you can also create a more whimsical look if you used traditional green and red.

To be honest, I’m not sure there is a colour combo that wouldn’t look awesome with this bundle!

Unexpected Colour Combos for the Holidays

Let’s dive into the world of unusually coloured handmade cards! Think outside that box—literally—by crafting a festive card using a fabulous pink and Basic Gray colour combination. It’s the unconventional pairing your holiday spirit – and your relatives’ – never knew it needed!

Everyone uses red and green for Christmas cards (psssst, see the sample in the image below from the Stampin’ Up! artists). Make yours stand out from the others!

I was unexpectedly surprised by the Hang an Ornament bundle. It did catch my eye the first time I browsed through the Holiday 2024 Mini Catalogue. But I didn’t purchase it. It wasn’t until my third (yes, that’s my T-H-I-R-D!) order that it made its way into my cart.

And I’m really glad it did. I’ve used every stamp in the set to make a huge variety of cards. Some are in my latest Christmas Fun Folds online class, Some you’ll see here in future posts.

Here’s everything included with this wonderful bundle.

Wondering What an In Color Club Is?
