Thinking you don’t have time for a last minute Thanksgiving card?

You might need to hand deliver this one or drop it on a doorstep, but you do still have time to get it made in time for Canadian Thanksgiving on October 11th…and certainly in time for American Thanksgiving on November 25th.

Here’s what we’re making.

Make a harvest wreath with Sparkle of the Season stamps and Seasonal Swirls dies

Use your stamps and dies to create a fall wreath.

Here I stamped first in Early Espresso ink onto my plain piece of Crumb Cake. Then I ran that through my embossing folder. While I used the Pinewood Planks folder (now retired), you can use the Bark 3D folder for a similar effect.

I picked four colours that really say fall to me.

Four rich colours combine for fall festive greetings

With a colour palette and a design like this, you can make endless varieties of this same design.

Last Minute Thanksgiving Card

Do you see how the rubber stamped leaves are a little two-toned? Here’s how I did that.

I picked up ink with my sponge dauber and tapped it onto the stamp. The first colour was Daffodil Delight on the leaves, followed by dabbing Pumpkin Pie right on top in a few spots. Then I used a different sponge dauber for the Mossy Meadow Leaves.

If you stamp onto the Basic White once, then stamp onto a scrap of Crumb Cake, you can add a very subtle leaf next to your Grateful greeting.

Make a Last Minute Thanksgiving Card with Rubber Stamps and Die Cuts

Stamp two of the leaves this way then cut them out with the die that matches. Adhere them right on top of the stamped wreath with liquid glue.

A few smaller leaves cut in a mix of colours plus one shiny copper one are glued down next. Wrap a length of Linen Thread in a small circle and glue down with a mini glue dot, then place your pumpkin on top!

The final touch is your greeting stamped in Pumpkin Pie. Put it right onto that scrap you had stamped those leaves the second time. Flag the ends of your label, attach it with dimensionals and you’re all done!

A quick fall card to say Happy Thanksgiving!

Your Turn!

Have fun creating a design like this one for this Thanksgiving. If you’d like, print, share or add any or all of the supplies I used into your own craft space by clicking here.

It’s always nice to add an unexpected surprise on the inside too. Stamp your leaves one final time to decorate your inside sentiment.
