Today’s post is all about quick card making for Valentines!
If you’re like me, you can put off really fun things – like card making – until it’s almost too late!
Most of my Valentine cards need to travel a couple thousand miles, so I’m getting down to the wire for when they need to hit the post box.
That’s why this card is just perfect! It literally took me about 5 minutes to make!
This is the perfect card if you’re ever stumped for card making inspiration too! Just a few simple cuts on your paper trimmer, some adhesive and one embellishment and you’re done!
I’ve got all the instructions for you below to make this super quick and pretty card.
This has got to be some of the most gorgeous paper Stampin’ Up! has ever had! The rich gold veins running through the alcohol ink marbled background is absolutely stunning!
With paper this lovely, it’s a simple matter to pick any piece from the 12 different designs for quick and easy card making. The hardest part is deciding WHICH piece! But since I was thinking Valentine’s, I chose one of the pinks.
Quick Card Making for Valentines
Here are all the measurements, supplies and steps to make it at home today.
Cuttin’ It Up!
- Basic White Thick cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Magenta Madness cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Expression in Ink DSP – 3 3/4″ x 5″
Let’s Make It!
1.Fold Basic White card and crisp up fold line with your bone folder.
2. Ink “Love” with Magenta Madness and stamp onto part of DSP with less pink colour. Then ink “YOU” and stamp slightly beneath it. Glue to Magenta Madness panel then to front of folded card base with Stampin’ SEAL.
3. Add one Gilded Gem to the left of the “YOU”.
That’s it! You’re done!
But if want to get really fancy, add the same piece of DSP to the flap of your Basic White envelope. You can see how to do that in this video: https://www.designwithjo.ca/DecorateanEnvelope
