Today’s DIY Christmas card dog lovers will be thrilled to get is so adorable, you don’t have to be a dog lover to think it’s sweet!
I am a dog lover! We have a little furry friend named Macy – who basically rules our house! She isn’t a scottie dog, but a cocker spaniel. But anyone with a dog knows how they can look at you with those big brown eyes and you’ll do just about anything for them.
So if you can make a special card for someone who’s a bit nutty over canines like me, they will treasure that card for weeks and months – guaranteed!
Don’t worry about trying to figure out how I made it. I’ve got all the instructions in a written tutorial for you you can print off or save.
See? I told you you don’t have to be a dog lover to say “Awwwww!, he’s a-door-a-BULL”
Classic red, black and white come together perfectly in this card. Each one of the colours works so well with the other elements, you might want to stick with them.
But you might not! Maybe your favourites are different! Give them a try and see what you think!
DIY Christmas Card Dog Lovers Will Be Thrilled to Get
It’s an easy project but has a few special touches to take it over the top!
A Few Special Elements
- Our pup has just been to the groomers and he has a textured coat, just like the real thing! Run your paper, either before or after punching through your favourite textured background embossing folder to give him more dimension. (Now why is it a he? hmmm….)
- The white greeting is embossed and raised so it catches the light and shines!
- Our tone-on-tone snowflakes add a bit of background effect but don’t overpower the rest of the card. Note the snowflakes also go off the Real Red panel to make your card look bigger.
- Whose dog isn’t without a sparkly glimmer bow for the holidays? Ours today is made with the white glimmer paper!
