In card making, I bet you love, love, LOVE your dies. And don’t get me wrong, I do too.
But, hands down, nothing beats the impressive speed of crafting when you use paper punches.
The greeting label and the pretty Fresh Freesia mat tucked in behind it are both made with a paper punch. In this case, a 2″ punch and the retiring Decorative Circle punch. (I’m sorry, as of this morning this punch is now sold out!)
Then one pre-designed piece of 6×6 Designer Series paper and a cardstock mat are just about all you need!

Fast Flap Fold Card
This is a pretty fun card. It’s a little bit of a fun fold with an interactive feel.
Let’s recreate this card! Here are the measurements.
Time to Create Your Own!
Cuttin’ It Up!
- Night of Navy cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4”, 1 1/2″ x 3″, scored at 1″ on the long edge
- Fresh Freesia cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″, scrap
- Meandering Meadows DSP – 3 3/4″ x 5″, 1″ x 4″ (inside)
- Basic White – 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside), scrap
- Navy bordered ribbon – about 8″

Let’s Make It!
- Glue the DSP to the Fresh Freesia panel then adhere to the card front.
- Position the small piece of Night of Navy with the fold line lined up with the right edge of the card. Add some liquid glue to the 1″ portion ONLY then glue. Immediately fold the front of the card closed and fold the flap over the right edge so you get the right position for the flap.
- Glue the Basic White panel to the inside of the card over the flap. ADhere the small piece of DSP to the right hand side.
- Stamp the greeting in Night of Navy ink onto the scrap of Basic White. Punch it out with the 2″ circle punch. Punch one Decorative Circle from the scrap of Fresh Freesia and glue together. Glue over top of the flap.
- Tie the ribbon around the flap and tie into a square knot.
- Add a few embellishments as desired.
- OPTIONAL: If you’d like, add another Fresh Freesia Decorative Circle with another greeting to the inside of the flap too.
PRO TIP: When you make yours, if you find the flap doesn’t stay closed, you can also add a little Velcro dot to the back of the flap and to the front of your card (or a tiny magnet will work wonderfully too.)
