Happy Canada Day 2022 from our home in Central Alberta!

Well OK, I know I might be pulling out the party hats a couple days early! But in case you’re making a card to take to a Canada Day party, I wanted you to have a fresh idea!

Canada is 155 years young on July 1st. Isn’t it amazing how a good skin cream keeps away those wrinkles? 😆

When I look around at all the places we see in the media, I consider myself so lucky to live in a country like Canada, with its freedoms and diversity and in such a beautiful part of the world.

Whether you’re visiting my blog from another country or you also live north of the 49th parallel, today’s card shares a big part of what you’ll see on our national flag.

Which coincidentally is a Sneak Peek of a stamp set from the new 2022 June to December Mini Catalogue. This brand new catalogue is coming out on July 1st (so we’ll consider it our birthday present!)

Happy 155th birthday Canada!

This new set is called Soft Seedling (159905) and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it on page 53 of the catalogue.

There’s nothing fancy about it, no matching dies, no embossing folder.

But…it’s a Distinktive stamp so the shading on it is gorgeous! (Not sure what that means? Take a peek at this post made with the Eden’s Garden set of stamps and dies.)

On top of that I knew I could use it for more than just fall-themed cards. After all with greetings like “thinking of you”, “so grateful”, “hello” and “for you”, how can you go wrong?

Happy Canada Day 2022
Go big and bold with a greeting to celebrate Canada Day

A bright Real Red leaf mingled with rich Cherry Cobbler adds extra dimension and life to this card.

For the greeting I paired the leaf with the Biggest Wish stamp set (155052) which has so much versatility! You can see another card made with it by clicking here.

I hope wherever you are, you can celebrate today. And even if it’s not within the boundaries of our country, Happy Canada Day 2022!
