Are you wondering how the 2024-26 In Colors compare to other colours you might have? You might be surprised!

Each year I take some initial guesses when I see the catalogue PDF of how the colours compare to other ones we either have currently, or have had in the past. And every year, I’m SURE I’ve nailed how similar one or more of the new In Colors are to existing ones!

And every year, I’m disappointed to know I didn’t really figure it out at all. 🥴 In fact, sometimes I can be pretty far off!

The colours this year are a real POP of cheery colour!

Psssst… If you’d love to see my review of the other In Colors still available from last year, see my post let’s compare the 2023-25 In Colors.

Here are each of these vibrant new colours in the same design. The only things different are the colours themselves! (Scroll down and you can see them all individually and in more detail.)

A simple design to show off the new 2024-26 in Colors

I really wanted to showcase how great these colours look against a bold black background. So I heat embossed the greeting with the new Unbounded Love stamps with white on black. That’s always the ticket to a stand out card!

Then I cut out the frame and leaves from the Unbounded Love Dies and adhered them with some liquid glue. Last I attached the black panel to another piece of the same In Color to set it off from the rest of the card.

Then one of the shimmery gems in its matching In Color and you’re set!

Oh and I decorated the envelope too which you can see below. A piece of the coordinating In Color 6×6 DSP (I love this leafy pattern) adds pizzazz to the flap.

You’ll find each of the new colours as the middle swatch of colour in the comparison graphic. The first dot is a current similar colour, and the last dot is one retired, sometimes for many years.

You might still have these retired colours in your own stamp supplies so it gives you an idea of whether you’d love to pick up the new ones.

Petunia Pop

Let’s start with the one that many of my FB folks chose as their fave in a recent live card making class. A bright purple-y pink with a fun name!

It’s less purple than other colours too like Orchid Oasis but not a dark as Rich Razzleberry. So it truly is filling a hole in our colour options.

Petunia Pop

You can see just how pretty it is in the card design.

And what about that envelope flap? Isn’t it a great design? I’m really enjoying the patterns in the new 6×6 colour family DSP this year!

Summer Splash

Isn’t this such a happy name?

I was happy to see this colour in person as I though it was going to be really close to the other offering. Shy Shamrock.

But it’s not at all. Much less green and more into the turquoise-green sphere. It will be great to use as the darker mat or shade to Coastal Cabana.

See how it pops against the white and black?

Peach Pie

This was the most surprising colour for me.

And while I thought it might be the colour I most had to warm up to, I’m finding it’s a close second to the Petunia Pink for me.

I love that is really fills a hole we have in our colour selections!

And I found it’s quite a bit more peach-y than the Pale Papaya but not nearly as bold as Pumpkin Pie which means I think it will get used a lot in my studio!

Think how great it’s going to work as a shade lighter on your mats for Hallowe’en and other “orange” cards!

Peach Pie

It’s awesome mixed with the bold black and white (and perhaps even a little bit more bold than it appears here.)

Shy Shamrock

A cheerful green. And I just adore that name. It makes me think of it peeking out from behind others and really shining!

Once again, I thought it might be too similar to other colours we’ve had. But I was happy to be proven wrong – again!

If you happen to have Just Jade from a couple years ago, it’s close but is a bit less blue. It was surprisingly quite a bit lighter than the Shaded Spruce and I can see using it for all kinds of bright green leaves.

The colour it is not close to at all? Cucumber Crush from several years ago. And it’s quite a bit lighter and almost a bit more subdued than Call Me Clover too.

Shy Shamrock

I love it’s beautiful rich tone against the black!

Pretty in Pink

I was really excited about this last colour since I loved it when it was in our lineup before.

That’s right, it was a staple for years leaving us I think in 2013. I’m so glad Stampin’ Up! brought it back for us.

Look how true a pink it is – and how different from the much lighter – and more blue-toned – Bubble Bath.

Such a great colour to send your wishes to a friend!

Are you surprised about this Shy Shamrock?

The Shy Shamrock is stunning against the Basic Black.

What do I think are the BEST things about these five colours?

  • all fill a little hole in the current colour offerings
  • are bolder but not overpowering (like some In Colors we’ve seen in the past)
  • are perfectly on trend (the Peach Pie for instance if very close to the 2024 Pantone of the year Peach Fuzz)

I really love how all of these 5 colours work together!
