My Top Picks From the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue
Here’s what I try and think about while I’m deciding on my list:
- Versatile: I know how important it is for you to get great value from your craft dollar investments. So multipurpose items are always the very first thing I think about. Can you use it for lots of themes and events? But even more fun? Can you use it with a variety of techniques? Will you be able to mix and match it with your other stash of supplies? Does it suit more than just card making?
- Simplicity: Whether you’re a newbie paper crafter or you’ve been designing and playing for years, you want items to streamline your creative time. I know the time you spend in your craft space is limited so being able to make something beautiful fairly quickly (and experiencing a wonderful sense of satisfaction) is paramount!
- Adaptable for Many Occasions: You love to celebrate with all kinds of folks and for so many life events! So you want to gather greetings, images and paper to limit you to just one single occasion! I think you’ll be surprised how easy it is to do this with my suggestions.
- Enjoyment: Why would we do this if it wasn’t TONS of fun? These picks are guaranteed to bring on the fun!
So let’s get to my top picks from the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue! These are the items I recommend to get you crafting beautiful – and happy – items!
Product Collections
I couldn’t pick just one of these. I did narrow it down to two but believe me, there are many more high ranking contenders!
In the catalogue, each of the collection comes with a stamp and dies bundle, fabulous designer series paper and another goodie, either embellishments or specialty paper or even an embossing folder for one.
The great thing about product suites? You’ll save 10% on the stamps and dies!
This is my first pick (and expected to be one of the first to sell out in the catalogue).

Here’s a card I designed with the stamps, DSP and dies. Don’t you love the Boho Blue background? I layered it onto the Quatrefoil embossing folder (already in our line up).

My next pick is totally different. And this was actually the very first one I played with when I got my preorder.
Whimsical and fun, this suite is perfect for kids…and the kid in all of us!

Our little raccoon is coloured with Stampin’ Blends then cut out with the matching die. You’ll also find the little balloons, cloud and tag die in the set to add lots of dimension to your cards or home decor pieces.

Before we leave this category, I have to throw in this “sorta” collection. I do love the entire Countryside Inn collection, but if you’re looking for a great set of dies and DSP, these two totally can stand alone.

If you love working with blue tones, this Countryside Inn 12 x 12 DSP is a MUST! Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue, Night of Navy and Balmy Blue are a beautiful mix.
And these are fabulous nesting dies. I also used these in my YouTube Live video on Tuesday and I’ll get the blog post up for that tomorrow so you can see how easy they are to work with.

Bundle
Bundles are always a great way to get more value for your crafting dollar! You’ll also save 10% on these items.
I again had a hard time narrowing this down but I did pick what I think might be one of the top bundles this year. It’s got lots of wonderful sayings, complimented with a variety of botanical images. But maybe more importantly, it’s been designed so it’s easier for you to make awesome die cut focal points.

This one is so fun to play with. I shared lots of ideas with it in my Facebook live catalogue walkthrough, but this is one design my in person Open House attendees were able to make.
I love the mix of Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly for this happy card.

Individual Stamps
Again it was hard to pick just one here, so I picked one to coordinate with another collection, the Countryside Inn collection.

I’m a big fan of solid images to create backgrounds. Here, just a small strip is white embossed. Then I blended colour over top with my Blending Brushes.

Must Have Paper
To get lots of versatility from just one package of designer series paper, this Bright & Beautiful is it! It’ll work for some many different occasions. (It’s the background on the “you make me smile” card above.)

It’s from the Bright & Beautiful collection, which will likely be another best seller. Perfect for happy celebrations, you’ll find so many other ways to use it. And it has lots of the new colours!
Here’s my card!

Whether you’re new to paper crafting or have been having fun with paper for years, sometimes it’s hard to narrow down those first choices from a new catalogue. Even if not all these recommendations appeal to you, maybe you’ll look at the catalogue a bit differently now.
