This simple card making idea is perfect to send a friend at this time of year. Who wouldn’t LOVE to get a card like this in the mail?

ALERT! The Sweet as a Peach Bundle is being discontinued in April! That was a surprise for me as I just love it, and thought it would stick around longer than just one year!

You will definitely grab it before it’s gone when I show you my two other ways to step up this design for added polish and versatility!

I’ve got all the instructions for you below to get busy now!

Super Simple Card Making Idea with Die Cut Flowers
A simple and sweet design with the Sweet as a Peach bundle

I think there’s nothing quite like a clean and simple card.

And it only gets better when you can make it in mere minutes! Yes, even with die cuts! Keep reading!

Simple Card Making Idea

Here are all the measurements, supplies and steps to make it at home today.

Cuttin’ It Up!

  • Thick Basic White cardstock – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Sweet as a Peach patterned paper – scraps from 2 different patterns, 2 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ (optional for the envelope)

Stamp, cut & glue for a simple and sweet card

Let’s Make It!

1.Fold Basic White card and crisp up fold line with your bone folder.

2. Stamp the flower trio once with Balmy Blue ink onto the patterned Balmy Blue DSP. Crop with the matching die and the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. (Optional cut out with Paper Snips). At the same time, cut a few of the small leaf dies from the green patterned paper in the same package of You’re a Peach DSP (there are several so you only have to cut once and get enough).

2. Stamp greeting with Pear Pizzazz ink onto Basic White card.

3. Glue leaves with liquid glue randomly about a 1/2″ above the words spreading them a bit so the flowers will look like a bunch with leaves coming out the side. TIP: Arrange these first on the card, remove the flowers and glue down the leaves.

4. Glue largest flower down with liquid glue. Add dimensionals to the back of the remaining flowers and adhere in place. Attach three Elegant Faceted Gems to the centres.

That’s it!

Now how about we step things up just a little bit more?

Simple Card Making Idea with Die Cut Flowers for an Easel Card
Add a bit more punch with an easel card and more designer series paper

On this one, I created much the same card, with a slightly different layout. But I changed it up by making an easel card. To learn how to make an easel fold, click here.

The last step it up card might look a little simpler, but I’ve a few different techniques on it. Watercolour backgrounds for the flowers and leaves and dry embossing for the little label in behind. I loved how this one turned out!

Another stepped-up version of a simple card

It’s fun to expand your options with just one bundle. The Sweet as a Peach is one you will use over and over again. With this simple card making idea and the same bundle, you can change up the flowers for peaches and have another totally different design – experiment and have fun!
