When Card Making Gets Tough
Let’s face it, sometime getting into your craft space and creating is the LAST thing you have time for! With the demands of work, family, appointments and just everyday life, your card making takes a back seat.
So when it’s tough to craft, AND you need a card for a special friend or family member, THAT’S when you want to pull out your templates.
When you do, it immediately reduces any stress so you can just create – quickly!
Take a peek at the simple sketch in today’s cute card.

Isn’t that the perfect card? You can whip one up for either a gal or a guy and they will love it!
And there really is a LOT to love about the Latte Love set of stamps and dies!

Play with a Sketch
Feel free to download this image to your Pinterest Layouts folder so you can take it out and use whenever you’re in finding it tough to either get into your craft space OR just come up with an idea!
It will instantly put you in the card making frame of mind. All you need to do is pick the stamps and dies you have in your stash and get to playing!

For today’s card, I had fun with the coffee splatter to create a background for the cards. And don’t you love how the “coffee” sits so perfectly in the cup? That’s the cool thing about two step stamping! The cup and the coffee oval are actually two different stamps!
I’m amazed how that one little stamp immediately completes the cup!

How to Play with this Sketch!
So now you’ve got an idea of the layout, you’re ready to have some fun! Gather your supplies and prepare for a dash of creativity and a sprinkle of possibility.
How can you play with it?
First rifle through the bundles you have to see what larger shape ones you have that might be a little bit like that shape I’ve used. Then find a set of stamps (with or without matching dies (which of course make things so much quicker than fussy cutting shapes out!) you want to use.
Adding larger flowers or a balloons would be super. Or how a couple cute animals to add some personality? Find one you like about the same size as what I used.
Next pick a greeting you can cut apart. TIP: having an odd number of rectangle shapes is ideal.
Then decide on your colour choices and it’s time to get your fingers inky!
More than anything, just have fun! Turn your card sideways (landscape orientation) and try it that way even!
Then I bet once you start to play with a sketch, you’ll be hooked on using them almost EVERY time you sit down to make a card!
